Due to increasing costs passed down by content providers, WXII Channel 7 will be removed from SkyBest TV in Ashe, Avery and Watauga counties on January 1. You can still enjoy your favorite NBC shows on WCYB Channel 5. Certain duplicate programming can also be found on other local stations, such as WSOC(9), WJZY(10) and WBTV(3). On January 1, WCYB will replace WXII as the NBC affiliate on your SkyBest TV Now service. You will continue to enjoy all your favorite NBC programming with local and news and weather now coming from Bristol, Virginia.
